Sharktopus – Direct to Video Review

In what could be a deranged sequel to Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, one of nature’s greatest predators – the shark – and one of B movies most dangerous foes – the octopus – meld to form a new wave of exploitation terror in the Roger Corman presented Sharktopus: a film that consists of atrociously bad CGI tentacles killing random beachside populace for 90 minutes. The result is a humorous, so-bad-it’s-good hybrid creature feature that embraces the clichéd shirtless heroics of a toned meathead and the actions of a typical feisty reporter looking to get herself some sharktopus footage. Funny cameos from the great B movie director/producer Roger Corman and Kevin Smith podcast partner Ralph Garman is enough to pick this trash up from your nearest supermarket bargain bin.
